My work is on the Cover of *Quilting Arts Magazine*

 *Peaks* 34" by 35"

I have exciting news. I have not only a new article for the upcoming issue of Quilting Arts but I also made THE COVER!

I am so happy. I am on page 62 and the title of the article is *Add a POP of Color*. It's a modern twist to the well known half square triangle. It's fun and different.

In this close-up you can see how I quilted with the sewing machine and by hand with big stitches.

This is a variation of this fun technique. You can find more information HERE

NEW Article in the Magazine *Quilting Arts*

My newest article is out!

In there I showed you how to *mimic* bleached effects on a painted cloth. It's an unusual way to achieve depth in color without the use of harsh chemicals.

I am on page 66.

Here are some samples of the processed cloth.

The cloth end up so soft that it's very easy to sew by hand. I used Aurifil Wool thread

I hope you try this new technique. It's lots of fun :)

*NEW* Article in Simply Moderne Magazine

I have so many news to share but I cannot do it in one post. I will write several entries in the coming days.

My latest article has been released! This is my sixth consecutive year writing for the French magazine Simply Moderne Magazine.

My article shows how to paint quilt blocks with a technique I've called *Speckle Paint*. And believe me when I tell you that you need a cheese grater for this technique.

It is a very complete article, with detailed pictures of every step. It is 8 pages long! I created this technique because *Speckling* has always intrigued me. I tried many different ways through the years and finally I discovered how to do it. Each block is different and yet the end result is a cohesive quilt top since the same design is repeated several times.

You can create your own screens OR you can get a set of two, the same designs I used on my quilt at My Store

Also inside this issue there is an article about Quilt National. To promote this event a group of quilts was chosen and to my surprise they included a photograph of my winning quilt as well. That makes me very happy. An unexpected surprise.

And here are some details:

My final quilt ( 50" x 74"):

I hope you will try this new way of painting. It's lots of fun :)
Stay safe!

*Simply Moderne* Magazine.. my latest Article

The summer issue Number 17 of SIMPLY MODERNE MAGAZINE is out.
It shows my latest article on page 120 under the title Technical Lesson. Here I explain how to print a whole quilt top with hand-made stamps and paint.

The inspiration for this project came when the Pantone color 2019 - Living Coral- was announced. I knew I had to do a project in this color so I started mixing the paints to achieve the exact hue.

The stamps were then hand-carved based on my designs included in the article.

You can easily follow the instructions on how to print the rows and on how to complete each motif.

Afterwards, hand stitching was done with 12w thread. I used the same color as the binding.

This is the finished *Stamped Quilt Top*

I hope you will try to stamp your own quilt soon!.

My latest *Article* in Quilting Arts Magazine

My latest article was recently published in Quilting Arts Magazine August/September 2018.
I am on page 84. With this article you will learn how to
make textured embellishments with modeling paste and paint. Now you can match your embellishments, shapes and colors!!

I hope you will try this technique out and have as much fun as I did.
