*Simply Moderne* Magazine.. my latest Article

The summer issue Number 17 of SIMPLY MODERNE MAGAZINE is out.
It shows my latest article on page 120 under the title Technical Lesson. Here I explain how to print a whole quilt top with hand-made stamps and paint.

The inspiration for this project came when the Pantone color 2019 - Living Coral- was announced. I knew I had to do a project in this color so I started mixing the paints to achieve the exact hue.

The stamps were then hand-carved based on my designs included in the article.

You can easily follow the instructions on how to print the rows and on how to complete each motif.

Afterwards, hand stitching was done with 12w thread. I used the same color as the binding.

This is the finished *Stamped Quilt Top*

I hope you will try to stamp your own quilt soon!.

Carving *Stamps*

Stamping on fabric. I am playing along with *Carve December*, organized by artist Julie Fei-Fan Balzer. It consists in carving one stamp a day during the whole month of December. Maybe I will not carve a new stamp everyday but I am planning to work on several.
Since I love to color on cloth using my own designs, I thought this will be a good opportunity to have a relaxing moment during this hectic month and do some art. My goal is to end up with an artcloth.

Simply Moderne Magazine #9* My latest Article*

*Rainbow Flowers* 90cm -35 1/2 inches-

My latest article is out! I am on page 96 in the French magazine Simply Moderne number 9. In the article I teach you how to use liquid paint with hand-carved stamps.

It is a unique technique to achieve rainbow images on cloth.
You can also paint silk scarves or...
... a whole length of cloth like the one shown here.
This is a close up picture of the finished quilt. I used Aurifil LANA thread with the hug stitch!
I hope you will try it and have as much fun as I did :)
