Craft Napa Workshops

I love to teach virtually or in person. Last week I gave two workshops through CraftNapa virtually to a very talented group of artists. We shared good laughs. Some couldn't be present, luckily it was recorded so they watched the recording and worked at their own pace.

The projects for both classes were made with mixed media materials. It's amazing how each student put their own twist and created something different. It was fun!

*LIVE* VIRTUAL Workshops and Lectures

I have been very busy the past weeks setting up my *LIVE* ONLINE classes. You'll be able to watch my videos and follow me during *live* workshops. This will  be a hybrid, the best of both worlds. You can ask all the questions you want. We'll share our experiences and have FUN doing what we love.

Filming and editing the videos with clear steps took a lot of effort to make this work - each class is loaded with information.

I am excited about the new virtual platform and I hope it will bring us together.

*Paper and Fabric Appliqué* Workshop with Uncommon Threads Guild

I gave one of my workshops, *Paper and Fabric Appliqué*, to these lovely ladies from the Uncommon Threads Guild here in Memphis TN. I enjoyed watching their faces light up when they discovered how to work with paper and  incorporate it into a quilt!

Thank you for having me.

NEW *WORKSHOPS*

*Cold Foil and Tulle..Oh My!!*

In this class we will combine foil with tulle to make an unusual fish quilt top. You will learn how to add metallic color to your fiber art with the cold foil technique, using Deco foil sheets. No need to use paint and wait for it to dry or the use of an iron to apply foil. You will also learn how to tame tulle to add delicate designs. Afterwards we will complete our project by sewing simple stitches with embroidery thread.

Hand Appliqué with Paper and Fabric*

Give new life to magazine clippings and combine them with fabric to make beautiful and unique fiber art. First, we will design your block using paper and hand-dyed fabrics. Then you will cut, fuse, and hand-stitch the pieces in place. This is a great opportunity to learn how to stitch on paper. There will be also a demonstration on how to laminate and foil the magazine clippings.
